Aerofix® Insulated Pipe Supports

Description

Pipe support locations are one of the most common points of failure in insulated piping systems. Without proper insulation at hangers and supports, systems are vulnerable to thermal bridging, condensation, and, eventually, corrosion under insulation (CUI).

Aerofix® Insulated Pipe Supports are patented and engineered to maintain the integrity of insulation and vapor barrier at pipe hanger locations. Unlike some inserts or field-fabricated solutions, Aerofix provides seamless EPDM thermal performance and zero-permeance (zero-perm) moisture resistance.

Designed for use with elastomeric insulation systems, our insulated pipe supports ensure consistent insulation thickness and eliminate compression at support points—helping engineers and contractors maintain system performance from specification through installation.

When specified as part of a complete insulation system, Aerofix helps protect long-term energy efficiency, reduce maintenance risk, and ensure reliable mechanical system performance. Our pipe supports may also be used with trapeze (strut), split-ring, clevis, roller, clamps, and straphangers.

Aerofix is available in a wide range of pipe diameters and thicknesses up to 12-inch IPS and 2-inch wall thickness. See data sheet for more details.

Specification Compliance

Aerofix insulated pipe supports are designed to support compliance with key industry standards, building codes, and material transparency requirements for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.

Energy Efficiency & High-Performance Building Standards

  • ASHRAE Standard 90.1, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings
  • ASHRAE Standard 189.1, Standard for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings
  • IECC, International Energy Conservation Code
  • Title 24, California Building Energy Efficiency Standards
  • International Green Construction Code (IgCC)

Supports insulation system design strategies that improve energy efficiency and maintain thermal performance at critical system points, such as pipe supports.

Sustainability & Transparency

Helps project teams meet sustainability goals through energy performance, material transparency, and responsible product selection.

Material Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • REACH
  • RoHS
  • CDPH Specification 01350, VOC emissions
  • EPA TSCA Section 6(h); Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)and Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP’s)
  • GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low chemical emissions

Supports specification on projects requiring low-emitting materials, chemical compliance, and adherence to evolving environmental regulations.
