AEROFLEX EPDM™ Sheet & Roll Insulation

Description

Large-diameter pipes, chillers, tanks, vessels, and equipment present a set of insulation challenges that differ from standard pipes. Bigger surfaces, more seams, and more exposure to demanding operating environments increase mechanical stress over the life of the system. Unfortunately, in some cases short cuts can lead to  moisture ingress, energy loss, and premature system breakdown due to corrosion under insulation (CUI).

AEROFLEX EPDM Sheet & Roll is a closed-cell elastomeric foam insulation engineered for these specific applications. Made with a proprietary blend of nonpolar  EPDM synthetic rubber, it resists water absorption and UV degradation when compared to standard NBR/PVC insulation, with a built-in vapor retarder that eliminates the need for a supplemental vapor barrier in most applications. Our smooth durable sheets and rolls are ideal for large pipes, fittings, chillers, tanks, and equipment.

AEROFLEX EPDM Sheet & Roll is available in a wide range of thicknesses to meet condensation control and energy code requirements. See data sheet for thicknesses and corresponding R-values.

Most thicknesses are available with or without a low-VOC, pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) back for faster installation.

*Supplemental vapor barrier may be required in extreme low-temperature or high-humidity applications. Protective jacket required for direct-bury applications and where insulation may be subjected to mechanical damage.

**For exterior applications, AerocoatÂŽ, Aerocoat LVOCÂŽ, or an insulation jacket are recommended for UV protection to maximize the insulation's life cycle.
